Here it is, the middle of May and we are that much closer to summer. Memorial Day is officially 15 days away & I can't wait for fun-filled days with friends, bar-b-q's, recording my bands' album and continuing to plan my wedding.
But, before diving into summer, I wanted to hit you guys with a few things I've gotten into recently that I think you'll appreciate.

Making More Time For The Gymstaying positive, focused and motivated, you'll know that I am all about the content Gary Vaynerchuk produces. Luckily, he often features his personal trainer, Mike Vacanti in his Snapchat stories. With that in mind, I checked out Mike's website, On The Regimen, and came across an amazingly helpful PDF Mike put together called, The Beginner's Fitness Guide. In it, he talks about a ton of useful information and points readers towards Starting Strength, a workout regimen developed by famous strength training coach, Mark Rippetoe. I've been doing it for the past two weeks and I already feel healthier. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

Summer is around the corner, we're in the midst of a heated presidential race and the Olympics are closing in. There might not be a more perfect time for Budweiser to temporarily change it's name to "America". While the King of Beers has never shied away from making a patriotic statement, this clearly takes things to the next level. On top of the 'in your face' name change, Bud has also snuck in new text citing the Pledge of Allegiance, the Star Spangled Banner, and America the Beautiful on the packaging as well. While it certainly does seem a bit forced, I'm all for it. Can't wait to kick back a few 'America's" this summer while I'm hanging poolside.
I must say, I can't remember a brand ever going this far to pander to their audience. I mean, branding is everything right? Budweiser replacing their own brand name seems drastic, but maybe the brand is onto something. In the war against craft beer, Bud is the only brand who could pull off a strategic move like this. Only time will tell how this temporary re-brand will effect sales, but I have a feeling heartland USA will gobble it up. Fun fact? Ab-InBev (the brewing company who owns Budweiser) is headquartered in Belgium.
Let me know what you think in the comments below, stupid gimmick or something you're interested in?

Not sure if I've shared this with you, but one of my dreams in life is to ride around in a badass pickup truck with my lady by my side and an Australian Shepherd nestled between us. Ideally, we'd be blasting country music on the way to our lake house getaway. So far, I've got the lady, and this fall, it looks like I'll be able to get my hands on the badass pickup too. Introducing, the all new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor powered by Ford’s new, second-generation 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, with more horsepower and torque than the previous Raptor’s 411-horsepower, plus an all-new 10-speed transmission.
Now, watch this ultimate high-performance off-road monster eat the Mojave Desert for breakfast. So awesome.
